In order for your affiliate to participate in the Open you must first be in good standing with CrossFit, LLC. If you have paid your affiliate fees and are up to date with your insurance your affiliate can participate in the Open!
You do not need to register your affiliate. Any affiliates in good standing will appear on the Games site for your athletes to select when registering.
Affiliate Manager
Most importantly, in order to be ready to participate in the Open, your affiliate must have an affiliate manager.
The affiliate manager will be the person responsible for validating Open workouts. The affiliate manager must have completed the current online Judges Course and must be available to login to their account and validate scores before the validation deadline of Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. PT. Scores need to be submitted by Monday however, they can be validated up until Wednesday.
Most of the time the affiliate owner is also the affiliate manager. However, anyone from the gym can be the affiliate manager as long as they have completed the current Judges Course.
For more information on how to become an affiliate manager check out the article: How do I become the Affiliate Manager?
Read the workout descriptions and movement standards
Make sure all of your athletes and judges are aware of the workout descriptions and movement standards for each Open event. You can find the descriptions and standards on the events page on the Games site. There are standards for each division listed on these pages. You can also find printable versions of descriptions as well as printable scorecards for your athletes and judges to use.
Make sure scores are submitted by Monday at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time each week. We do not accept late scores. It is the responsibility of the athlete to submit their own score.
Have fun with your gym!
