How do I qualify for Regionals?

Step 1: Compete in the Open.

The 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games Open starts February 22 and concludes March 26. To be in the running for Regionals, you need to sign up for the Open, and compete in the Individual Division's five Open workouts over five weeks.

When selecting the version of the workout you complete, make sure to always select Rx'd for the Individual Division. When performing the workouts, always use a registered judge who has passed the 2018 CrossFit Judges Course. Additionally, film all of your workout performances and save the videos. If you qualify for Regionals, CrossFit Games staff will request at least one video for review.

Step 2: Finish well in your Region.

The fittest men, women, and teams from 18 worldwide areas will head to one of eight regional events over three weekends starting in May for their chance to compete at the Games:

The qualification number is also shown on the leaderboard with a blue line.

If you make it above the blue line at the conclusion of the Open, you will receive an invite to Regionals.

If you're just below the blue line at the conclusion of the Open, hang tight. The leaderboard will change as the first round of Regional qualifiers choose whether they want to compete individually or with their team. Those who choose to compete with their team will be removed, and their position will be back-filled.

For example, Rich Froning will likely qualify as an Individual for the Central Regional but choose to compete with his team, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom. By opting to compete on a team, Froning opens up a qualifying position that will be back-filled.

Step 3: Respond to Games Support

CrossFit Games support will email Regional Individual qualifiers. The Team Captain will need to respond to their emails in a timely fashion.
